“We lost our house and everything in it in a fire. Michigan House of Hope stepped in and helped us with clothes, furniture and food when we had nowhere to turn.”
For those who live paycheck to paycheck, all it might take is a reduction in hours, loss of a job, or issues with transportation for a tough situation to become dire. Our goal is to provide stabilizing resources for those living on the brink of homelessness.
We are blessed to receive donations from the community and pass them on to those in need at low or sometimes no cost at all. Items we gladly accept are non-perishable food items, clothing, hygiene and baby items, complete bed sets and other furniture, flat-screen TVs, appliances and other household items, vehicles, and more! We cannot accept particle board furniture, single mattresses, box TVs, or any items that are broken, stained, or otherwise not in good useable or in working condition.
We also manage a “by appointment” food pantry available to anyone within the county. Also watch for our mobile “pop-up” community food give outs where we have served over 2000 families!
